Muster Ax – Expander

Muster Ax is an expander module for the Oxidlab Muster modules.

Muster Ax adds some additional output ports for the Muster A1, Muster A2, and Muster A3 modules.

Depending on the expanded Muster module, some of the ports of Muster Ax are outputting an additional signal. The available ports can be identified based on the green LEDs. If the LED is active, a signal is available.

On the one hand side, you can directly access the LFO signals of the Muster modules, and on the other hand side, some additional pitch signals can be retrieved.

The Muster Ax is only available as part of the free Muster package.

Notes

  • The module can only be used in combination with the Muster A1/A2/A3 modules.
  • Muster Ax will only be activated if it is located on the right side of the supported modules.

ParameterDescription
LFO L (port)Output port: Signal of the leading LFO.
LFO 1 (port)Output port: Signal of LFO 1.
LFO 2 (port)Output port: Signal of LFO 2 (only available in combination with Muster A2/A3).
LFO 3 (port)Output port: Signal of LFO 3 (only available in combination with Muster A3).
PITCH L (port)Output port: Alternative pitch signal based on the leading LFO. The signal can be modified using the corresponding Scale and Offset knobs.

The resulting signal is calculated using the following formula
output = (input * Scale) + Offset.
LFO L - ScaleScales the PITCH L signal. Scale can be entered in the range of ±1. Where -1 is the inverted signal, 0 is no signal, and +1 is the original pitch signal.
LFO L - OffsetOffset is a DC offset of the PITCH L signal. It can be entered in the range of ±1, which equals ±2.5 volts.
PITCH 2 (port)Output port: Alternative pitch signal based on LFO 2 (only available in combination with Muster A3). The signal can be modified using the corresponding Scale and Offset knobs.

The resulting signal is calculated using the following formula
output = (input * Scale) + Offset.
LFO 2 - ScaleScales the PITCH 2 signal. Scale can be entered in the range of ±1. Where -1 is the inverted signal, 0 is no signal, and +1 is the original pitch signal.
LFO 2 - OffsetOffset is a DC offset of the PITCH 2 signal. It can be entered in the range of ±1, which equals ±2.5 volts.

Note: The Muster A1 package is available via the VCV Rack library.
